Value-added precut case study of domestic solid wood: Welfare facility for people with disabilities

We have realized the wooden construction of a medium-sized facility primarily using domestically produced lumber from cedar and cypress.

We would like to introduce a case study of a pre-cut system using domestically produced solid wood with added value in an SSD frame system. This case focuses on leveraging significant features of wooden architecture, such as "gentleness," in consideration of the facility's intended use, while also reflecting advantages in construction time and cost by adopting existing wooden structure technologies. By primarily using domestically produced quality-assured lumber that meets JAS standards and strategically placing laminated timber based on structural calculations, we achieved the wooden construction of a medium-sized facility mainly composed of domestic cedar and cypress lumber. [Case Overview (Excerpt)] ■ Purpose: Welfare facility for people with disabilities ■ Structure: Two-story wooden building, 897.10 m² (approximately 272 tsubo) ■ Fire prevention area classification: Semi-fire prevention area *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
